On Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky vowed not to shut down the American economy again, warning that the U.S. does not have enough money to “continue to prop up” the economy.
“We’re not going to shut the economy down again,” he said. “We don’t have enough money we can borrow to continue to prop up the economy indefinitely.”
He also discussed the importance of wearing a mask. “It ain’t confusing,” he said. “The single most important thing that each of us can do, not just to protect ourselves, but our friends and colleagues—the single most important thing we can do is wear a mask.”
